LOS ANGELES, CA - Life often imitates art, and such a picture was painted when USC Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams fittingly struck the legendary Heisman pose during USC's 38-27 win over Notre Dame this past weekend.

Williams' celebration emulating college football's most famous piece of art, the Heisman trophy statue, was the perfect punctuation on a day when he vaulted past his other Heisman rivals.

Former Heisman front-runner Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud struggled in his most important game of the season loss to Michigan.

Factor in injuries to Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker (torn ACL) and Michigan running back Blake Corum (unknown knee injury), who managed just six yards rushing before exiting the game, and the Heisman Trophy is within Williams' grasp.

MGM Grand has Williams listed as the betting favorite at +2500. He's such a massive Heisman favorite that a bet of $2,500 on him to win would only win $100 profit.

With 3,712 yards passing and 34 passing touchdowns against only three interceptions, Williams' numbers through the air match up well against his peers.

Throw in more than 350 yards rushing and ten rushing touchdowns, and he blows just about all of his competition away.

One point separated the USC Trojans from perfection this season with 11 wins and one loss... a 43-42 loss to the Utah Utes earlier this season.

As fate would have it, they will face Utah this weekend in a rematch for a chance to win the Pac-12 championship, stamp their College Football Playoff ticket and avenge their only loss of the season and seal William's name on the Heisman Trophy.

"I'll be honest, I hate losing," said Caleb Williams immediately after that Utah loss. "But the only thing we can promise you is that we are going to go undefeated (from here)."

True to his word Williams has since gone undefeated, leading the Trojans to 5 straight wins, including throwing for a career-high 411 yards following the Utah Loss. He's averaging nearly 350 yards passing and over four touchdowns per game during the win streak.

While the other top Heisman hopefuls have dropped off due to injuries and subpar play these past few weeks, Williams has carried USC on his back.

He's beaten two Top-15 teams the past two weeks, including UCLA and Notre Dame, and has an opportunity to do it for a third straight week against #11 Utah (9-3).

So while the other top Heisman hopefuls have dropped off due to injuries and subpar play these past few weeks, Williams has carried USC on his back. The leader of the Trojans now finds himself three wins away from the only thing that matters even more to him than a Heisman trophy, a National championship.
