Keaontay Ingram Runs Wild to help USC Beat Arizona 41-34

LOS ANGELES, CA - The USC Trojans (3-4, Pac-12, 2-3) were looking to get back to their winning ways hosted the Arizona Wildcats (0-7, Pac-12, 0-4), beat the visitors 41-34 Saturday afternoon.

Kedon Slovis completed 15 of his 21 passes for 204-yards, with two touchdowns and one interception, and Jaxson Dart completed 12 of his 18 passes for 109-yards and two touchdowns.

Keaontay Ingram made his presence felt and had a big day for the Trojans, had a career-high, and carried the ball 27 times for 204-yards and one touchdown.

"When my number called on, I just gotta go execute," Ingram said. "One thing that we believe in, Coach Donte preaches all the time, is be physical and bring that physicality, and I felt like we did that at the line of scrimmage today."

The Wildcats tied the game 7-7 when wide-receiver Jamarye Joiner threw a 73-yard touchdown pass to Tayvian Cunningham. The Trojans regained the lead 14-7 after Slovis threw a 62-yard touchdown pass to Gary Bryant Jr.

Jaxson Dart came in the game and replaced Slovis at quarterback in the second inning, marched the Trojans down-field, and threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Drake London, increasing their lead to 21-7 with 7:59 left in the first half.

Chris Steal got the ball back for the Trojans, forcing the Wildcats' BJ Castell to fumble the ball on the sideline.

USC took advantage of the turnover and turned it into points 28-7 after London scored on a 6-yard touchdown pass from Hart with 4:16 left in the game.

The Wildcats made the score 28-14 after Michael Wiley scored on a 1-yard touchdown run with 2:36 left in the first half.

Slovis would return to the game and threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Gary Bryant Jr. that made the halftime score 35-14.

Clovis completed 13 of his 16 passes in the first half for 192-yards and two touchdowns, and Hart 11 of 15 passes for 92-yards with two touchdowns.

The Wildcats scored in the third quarter when Slovis threw a pass that was pick-off by Anthony Pandy, who took it back to the house, making the score 35-21. The Trojans Stadthaus kicked a 23-yard field goal that made the score 38-21.

In the fourth quarter, Plummer's 16-yard touchdown run for the Wildcats had them trailing by ten points 38-28, with 12:50 left in the game.

Arizona would cut the lead down to seven points 38-31 after Tyler Loop kicked a 25-yard field goal with 6:04 left in the game.

Stadthaus would give the Trojans a ten-point lead, 41-31, after kicking a 40-yard field goal. Arizona scored the final points of the game 41-34 after Loop kicked a 40-yard field goal.

Before getting hurt, Drake London had nine catches for 81-yards, and two touchdowns, followed by Gary Bryant Jr., three catches for 89 yards, and two touchdowns.

Plummer completed 20 of his 34 passes for 264-yards and was their leading rusher with nine carries for 57-yards and one touchdown. USC improved its record in the Pac-12 Conference to 3-3, and the Wildcats fell to 0-5.
