Norman Powell and the Clippers knock off Suns 113-109

LOS ANGELES, CA - Norman Powell returned to the Los Angeles Clippers' line-up scoring 24-points off the bench to help beat the Phoenix Suns 113-109.

Paul George scored 19-points, Ivica Zubac 13-points, Robert Covington 11-points, and Reggie Jackson and Isaiah Hartenstein both with 10-points.

George gave the Clippers a 14-9 lead with his three-point shot. Reggie Jackson's jump shot made the score 16-9, forcing Phoenix to call a timeout.

The Clippers led 18-11 with a floater by Ivica Zubac. Phoenix trailed by four points, 22-18, after a three-pointer by Torrey Craig. Marcus Morris Sr.'s fade-away jump shot in the key made the score 24-18.

Norman Powell made his impact being back in the lineup and gave The Clippers a 31-22 lead with his jump shot. Powell continued his hot shooting by making a three-pointer that made the score 36-22.

The Clippers led 37-22 after George made a technical free throw. Isaiah Hartenstein and Nicolas Batum, both with three-pointers, the Clippers led 47-22.

Phoenix trailed 47-27 after Cameron Johnson made a jump shot with 5:19 left before halftime.

Powell would make another three-pointer from the right side of the court, making the score 50-29. Phoenix trailed by twenty points, 51-31, after a basket by Bismack Biyombo.

George would make two free throws to give the Clippers a 55-31 lead. Powell's layup gave the Clippers a 59-31 lead.

The Clippers led at halftime 60-31. Powell led the Clippers in scoring with 17-points and followed by George with 14-points.

Phoenix trailed in the third quarter 76-47 with a three-pointer by Aaron Holiday. The Suns continued to fight after being down 87-60 with a three-pointer by Cameron Payne.

The Suns trailed in the fourth quarter 94-75 with a dunk by Bismack Biyombo with 7:59 left in the game.

The Clippers felt the pressure of the come-back by the Suns up by ten points, 104-94, with a three-pointer by Ish Wainright with 3:55 left in the game.

Holiday would make the score 110-104 after making two free throws with 28.3 left in the game. The Clippers held on to beat the Suns 113-109, improving their record to (40-40).

Ish Wainright led Phoenix in scoring with 20-points, followed by Aaron Holiday with 16-points, Bismack Biyombo with 14-points, Cameron Payne with 13-points, and Torrey Craig with 11-points.
