Stafford throws four touchdowns to beat Tom Brady and the Buccaneers 34-24

9/27/21 INGLEWOOD, CA - The Los Angeles Rams hosted Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at SoFi Stadium, and defeated the Super Bowl Champions 34-24.
Matthew Stafford completed 27 of his 38 passes for 343-yards and four touchdowns. Sony Michel carried the ball 20 times for 67-yards to lead the Rams in rushing.
Stafford shared how he felt that he was able to throw the long ball to a wide-open streaking DeSean Jackson for a huge touchdown.
"It's great. I wish it would have swelled up on the first two. Help me out. I left a couple of them short to DJack (DeSean Jackson) today. But I was happy for him. He did a great job, getting behind the defense a couple of times today. You know, I missed him on a couple so I was glad to make one of them count. It was a big play for us. Instead of going three and out right there, get a long touchdown and put a little wind in the sail so it was great."
DeSean Jackson had three catches for 120-yards and one touchdown, Cooper Kupp nine catches for 96-yards, two touchdowns, and Tyler Higbee five catches for 40-yards and one touchdown.
The Rams scored in the second quarter when Stafford threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to his tight-end Tyler Higbee that made the score 7-0.

The Buccaneers tied the game 7-7 with 4:03 left in the first half when wide receiver Chris Goodwin scored on a 2-yard touchdown run.
The Rams regained the lead 14-7 after Cooper Kupp caught a 2-yard touchdown pass from Stafford with 51 seconds left in the first half.
The moment of truth came in the third quarter when Stafford threw a 75-yard touchdown pass to a wide-open DeSean Jackson to give the Rams a 21-7 lead that had the fans going crazy.
The Buccaneers were down one touchdown after Tom Brady scored on a 1-yard quarterback-keeper touchdown making the score 21-14 with 9:57 left in the third quarter.

Stafford connected with Jackson on a 40-yard pass to give the Rams a first down at the Buccaneers' 10-yard line. Moments later, Stafford threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Kupp that gave the Rams a 28-14 lead.
Matt Gay kicked a 48-yard field goal to increase the Rams' lead to 31-14. Tampa Bay responded with a 26-yard field goal by Ryan Succop that made the score 31-17.
Gay gave the Rams a 34-17 lead in the fourth quarter after kicking a 26-yard field goal with 8:14 left in the game.
Brady, with 1:10 left in the game, would rally the Buccaneers for one more drive, which allowed him to throw a 7-yard touchdown pass to his running back Giovani Bernard, making the final score of the game 34-24.
Brady threw the football 55 times, completing 41 of his passes for 432-yards, and one touchdown. Mike Evans had eight catches for 108-yards to lead the Buccaneers in receptions.
