The Clippers win seven straight games after beating the Timberwolves 129-102

LOS ANGELES, CA- The Los Angeles Clippers (8-4) have won seven straight games after beating the Minnesota Timberwolves (4-8) 129-102 at the Staple Center.

Paul George led the Clippers in scoring with 23-points, Reggie Jackson 21-points, Terrance Mann 16-points, and Eric Bledsoe 14-points.

Patrick Beverly was making his first appearance at the Staple Center since being traded to the Timberwolves during the off-season, all smiles as he greeted his former teammates.

Since acquiring Bledsoe, the Clippers are one of the best up-tempo teams in the NBA and have allowed some of the other starters to get more rest, and George doesn't have to worry about pushing the ball up-court all the time when they are playing together.

"It's been refreshing having Bledsoe on our team, said Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue." He allows us to have a faster tempo during the game, and Reggie, Terrance, and George can get more rest in games because of the way he is playing."

Ivica Zubac's dunk gave the Clippers a 4-0 lead in the first quarter. The Timberwolves tied the game 6-6 with a jump shot by D'Angelo Russell. Eric Bledsoe gave the Clippers back the lead 8-6 with his jump shot.

Minnesota took a 12-10 lead over the Clippers when Karl-Anthony Towns made a layup. Reggie Jackson tied the game 12-12 with a layup. Paul George's three-point shot gave the Clippers a 17-16 lead.

The Timberwolves regained the lead 20-19 after Anthony Edwards made a three-point shot with 3:11 left in the quarter. Jackson's three-pointer gave the Clippers a 24-22 lead.

Luke Kennard gave the Clippers a 30-24 lead with his three-point shot. Jackson made a driving layup that gave the Clippers a 32-26 lead at the end of the quarter.

Bledsoe's three-pointer in the second quarter gave the Clippers a 37-26. Terrance Mann's monster dunk had the Clippers up 41-29, forcing the Timberwolves to call a timeout.

Jarred Vanderbilt's jump shot had the Timberwolves down 45-34 with 7:45 left in the first half. Bledsoe continued his hot shooting and made another three-pointer increasing the Clippers' lead to 50-34.

The Clippers led 59-36 after a finger-roll basket by Jackson with 5:10 left in the first half. Jackson being aggressive, drove to the basket and made a left-hand layup, and the Clippers led 65-38.

The Timberwolves trail 68-41 after Jackson made another three-pointer with 2:19 left before halftime. Jackson made a floater that gave the Clippers a 70-43 lead at halftime.

Jackson led the Clippers in scoring in the first half with 18-points, followed by Bledsoe with 12-points. Edwards led the Timberwolves in scoring with 12-points.

The Clippers led by thirty points 80-50 in the third quarter with a layup by Zubac. Nicolas Batum made a three-pointer to give the Clippers an 85-55 lead.

The Timberwolves trail 85-61 after a three-pointer by Russell. Paul George made a deep three-point shot, and the Clippers 88-63.

The Clippers led 98-71 at the end of the quarter after a three-point shot by George. Minnesota was down by thirty points 101-71 in the fourth quarter after Jackson made another three-point shot. Mann's jump shot made the score 106-77.

Jay Scrubb, for the Clippers, made a jump shot inside the key making the score 111-83 with 6:40 left in the game. Scrubb would make a three-point shot making the score 115-88.

Scrubb was putting in work and made another jump shot to increase the Clippers' lead to 119-93 with 4:10 left in the game. Isaiah Hartenstein's three-pointer had the clippers up 125-95.

Mann's floater in the key gave the Clippers a 129-102 victory over the Timberwolves to keep the win streak at home.

Edwards led the Timberwolves in scoring with 21-points, Jaden McDaniels with 15-points, and D'Angelo Russell with 15-points.

The Clippers' next game will be on Saturday at home against the Chicago Bulls.
