Arizona beats Colorado 82-72 in Pac-12 Semifinals

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Arizona Wildcats beat the Colorado Buffaloes 82-72 to advance to the Pac-12 Championship Game on Saturday at 6 PM at T-Mobile Arena.

Azuolas Tubelis led Arizona in scoring with 20-points, Justin Kier 13-points, Dalen Terry 12-points, and Oumar Ballo, and Bennedict Mathurin, both with 10-points.

Jabari Walker led Colorado in scoring with 19-points, Keeshawn Barthelemy with 12-points, and Evan Battey with 10-points.

Bennedict Mathurin gave the Wildcats a 3-0 lead to open up the first half. Colorado would tie the game 3-3 with a three-pointer by Jabari Walker. The Buffaloes took a 13-6 lead layup by Tristan Da Silva.

The Wildcats trail 13-8 after a turnover by the Buffaloes and a jump shot by Tautvilas Tubelis. Colorado led 16-8 with a three-point shot by Da Silva.

Luke O'Brien made a layup to give the Buffaloes an 18-11 lead. The Wildcats trail 18-13 after two free throws by Justin Kier. Walker would make a three-pointer that made the score 21-15.

Oumar Ballo made two free throws making the score 21-17, in favor of Colorado. The Wildcats were down by two points after a basket by Christain Koloko.

Arizona regained the lead 22-21 with a three-pointer by Kier. Colorado took the lead back 24-22 with a jump shot by Walker, with 9:59 left in the first half.

The Wildcats led 29-24 with a three-pointer by Mathurin. Evan Battey had two personal fouls and had to leave the game with 7:58 left in the first half.

Dalen Terry's two free throws made the score 31-24. Colorado trailed 32-30 with another three-pointer by Walker. Arizona had a six-point lead, 36-30 with a basket by Tubelis.

The Wildcats led 38-32 with a layup by Tubelis with 3:43 left before halftime. Battey came back into the game and scored with a hook shot, and Colorado trailed 38-34.

Arizona led at halftime, 47-38, with a made basket and a free throw by Tubelis. Tubeless led the Wildcats in scoring in the first half with 18-points, and Da Silva with 17-points for Colorado.

Arizona led 49-38 in the second half with a layup by Terry. Battey would make a three-point shot making the score 49-41. Nique Clifford made a three-pointer that had Colorado trailing 49-44.

Mathurin's layup had the Wildcats up 51-44. Battey's three-pointer had Colorado down by one point 51-50 with 16:10 left in the game. Koloko made two free throws to give Arizona a 55-50 lead.

Aj Simpson made two free throws that made the score 55-52. Walker would make two free throws that had Colorado down by one point 55-54.

Kier's two free throws gave Arizona a four-point lead, 58-55. The Wildcats increased their lead to 62-57 with a two-handed dunk by Ballo with 10:10 left in the game.

Ballo's two free throws made the score 64-57. Keeshawn Barthelemy's three-pointer made the score 64-60. Da Silva had Colorado down 66-62 with his jump shot.

Arizona led by seven points 69-62 with a three-point jump shot by Terry. Colorado trail 69-63 with one free throw by Clifford. Kokolo's dunk made the score 71-63.

The Buffaloes were down 71-65 with a layup by Battey with 4:07 left in the game. Terry would give Arizona a 74-65 lead with his three-point shot.

The Wildcats increased their lead to 76-65 with a jump shot by Tubelis. Terry would make two free throws that made the score 78-65. Colorado was down 78-67 with two free throws by Simpson.

Arizona beat Colorado 82-72 to advance to the Pac-12 Championship Game and will face the winner between the UCLA Bruins and the USC Trojans.
