LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Dodgers are 0-2 in the postseason after losing Game 2 of the NLDS to the Arizona Diamondbacks (2-0) at Dodgers Stadium 4-2 and are now facing elimination if they lose on Tuesday night in Arizona.

Not just pitching, but the Dodgers hottest batters, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, are 1-of-13 in the two games, are the leaders, and have been missing in action.

"We had a couple of opportunities, and we just didn't cash it in," Betts said. "For me and Freddie, that's kind of our role, and we're not doing it. I take ownership of that. We just have to figure out a way, man. There are no excuses."

Zac Gallen, who pitched 5.1 innings, gave up five hits, two runs, one home run, and had four strikeouts, held the Dodgers batters pretty much in check.

"We've won three games in a row. We're very familiar with this ballclub," said Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. "They're playing good baseball, and we've got to find a way to flip the script."

Bobby Miller gave up a 3-0 lead to the Dbacks in the top of the first inning when Christian Walker hit a sacrifice fly ball to center field and Corbin Carroll scored, Gabriel Moreno grounded out, Ketel Marte scored, and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a line drive to center field and Tommy Pham scored.

Brusdar Graterol relieved Miller in the top of the second inning to get Tommy Pham to ground out for the third out.

J.D. Martinez hit a solo home run over the center field wall to have the Dodgers trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning.

The Dodgers had a chance to tie the game in the bottom of the fifth inning with James Outman at third base and Mookie Betts at first base with two outs, and Freddie Freeman caught looking at a fastball down the middle for the third out.

Arizona led 4-1 in the top of the sixth inning with a solo home run by Loured Gurriel Jr. over center field.

The Dodgers trailed 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning after Enrique Hernandez hit a ground ball to second base, and Max Muncy would score the final run.

In the best-of-five postseason series, teams who have taken a 2-0 lead have gone on to win the series 78 of 88 times (89%). In Division Series with the current 2-2-1 format, 14 of the 16 clubs (88%) to win Games 1 and 2 on the road have advanced, including ten sweeps.

The last team to lose in that particular situation was the 2015 Rangers, who took a 2-0 lead at Toronto before dropping three straight.
