College Football Playoff Announce Festivities Around The 2023 CFP National Championship In The Los Angeles Region

LOS ANGELES, CA - The College Football Playoff (CFP) and the 2023 Los Angeles Host Committee held a news conference at Banc of California Stadium to announce the fan events and activities leading up to the 2023 CFP National Championship.

The press conference was emceed by Rachel Lindsay, a television personality and CFP Foundation Ambassador, and the committee members were, College Football Playoff Executive Director Bill Hancock College Football Playoff Foundation Executive Director Britton Banowsky Inglewood Mayor James Butts, Doane Liu, City of Los Angeles Chief Tourism Officer, Chairman of the Los Angeles College Football Playoff National Championship Host Committee, James Rishwain, Renata Simril, President & CEO, LA84 Foundation and President of the Play Equity Fund Kathryn Schloessman, President & CEO, Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission, Los Angeles College Football Playoff National Championship Host Committee.

The main focus will be on announcing the top musical acts who will perform at AT&T Playoff Playlist Live!, the CFP's signature free concert series, which will take place January 7-8 at Banc of California Stadium. The artists that will be performing in the free concerts will be the Jonas Brothers, Em Beihold, Pitbull, and Gayle.

The College Football Playoff National Championship weekend features a wide range of fan-friendly events and activities. Media Day, Playoff Fan Central, AT&T Playoff Playlist Live!, Allstate Championship Tailgate, the Extra Yard 5K, and Taste of the Championship will all take place in January 2023 in Los Angeles and Inglewood. All of the events will take place in Los Angeles from January 6 to 9, 2023.

The College Football Playoff pits the top-ranked team against the fourth-ranked team and the second-ranked team against the third-ranked team in semifinal games that rotate annually among six bowl games: the Goodyear Cotton Bowl, Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Capital One Orange Bowl, Allstate Sugar Bowl, and Rose Bowl Game.

The Playoff Semifinals for this season will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl and the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. The College Football Playoff National Championship will be held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Monday, January 9, 2023.
