LOS ANGELES, CA - The Dodgers got late fireworks from James Outman after losing Dustin May with an arm injury in the top of the first inning, beat the Minnesota Twins 7-3 at Dodgers Stadium.

Losing May (4-1) was considered one of the main parts the Dodgers were counting on to play a big part this season.

"It's a big blow," said Roberts. "My first [thought] goes to Dustin and what he's had to go through. … Obviously, he was a big part of this year -- and he still could be. But right now, to have this speed bump with him, I know he's disappointed."

Mookie Betts hit a triple to right-center-field in the bottom of the third inning and moments later scored after Freddie Freeman hit a sacrifice fly ball to give the Dodgers a 1-0 lead.

The Twins tied the game 1-1 in the top of the fourth inning with a solo home run by Byron Buxton over the center field wall.

The Dodgers regained the lead 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning after Betts hit a single to center field and James Outman scored.

Minnesota tied the game 2-2 in the top of the sixth inning when Joey Gallo hit a solo home run over center field.

Dylan Covey loaded the bases for the Twins with no outs. Victor Gonzales relieved Covey and ended the Twins' threat by getting Jorge Polanco to pop out, Donovan Salano to strike out, and Kyle Famer to fly out.

The Twin retook the lead 3-2 in the top of the seventh inning with a throwing error by Caleb Ferguson to Max Muncy at third base, and Willi Castro scored.

The Dodgers had the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning, and Emilio Pagan walked Miguel Fargas, and Will Smith crossed home plate to tie the game 3-3.

Minnesota would trail 7-3 after a grand slam by James Outman over the center-field wall to end the inning.

"You know, I'm happy we just got the run, to be honest," said Outman. "The three were bonuses, but I'm glad that we got the go-ahead right there in that situation. But a grand slam is kind of like the cherry on top.
