LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Dodgers improved their record to (106-47) after beating the St. Louis Cardinals (89-65) at Dodgers Stadium 4-1, after Michael Grove (1-0) pitched 5.0 innings while giving up three hits, one run, and had three strikeouts.

The Dodgers are the only team in MLB history to average 106 wins or more per season in the last three years ( 2019, 2021).

"It's amazing," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. "You're looking at a lot of years of baseball, almost 200 years of baseball. To do that, it speaks to the consistency and the level of excellence, and the standard we've set here with the Dodgers. It takes a lot of people to accomplish what we've done."

The Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright lasted only 3.0 innings and gave up six hits and four runs to the Dodgers.
