Rams Feature: Offensive Line Two Weeks Report Card

10/19/21 - After attending the Rams practices for the last two weeks, I have been watching the work ethics and the improvement of the offensive line, they were a major factor in them beating the Seattle Seahawks 26-17, and last Sunday in New York bet the Giants 38-11.
Since losing to the Cardinals 37-20 two weeks ago, Matthew Stafford for the Rams threw for 365-yards, one touchdown, and one interception against the Seahawks, and against the Giants 251-yards, four touchdowns, and one interception.
The Rams running back Darrell Henderson has flourished in his last two games and has rushed for 82-yards, one touchdown against the Seahawks, and 78-yards and one touchdown against the Giants.
The Rams Andrew Whitworth (LT), David Edwards (LG), Brian Allen (C), Austin Corbett (RG), and Rob Havenstein (LT) have done a great job of picking up the other team's defensive schemes and allowing Stafford to look downfield for open receivers.
With both the running game and the passing game clicking again, the Rams look like the team to beat in NFC, even though it's still early in the season. Even though quarterbacks, running backs, and receivers get all the ink, the offensive linemen in the NFL should be one of the highest-paid.
I spoke to Rams' center Brian Allen again last about the improvement of the offensive line.
"We put the loss to the Cardinals behind us and focus on what we had to do to get better when hitting the road to play the Seahawks and the Giants, said Allen."
"For us to win, it starts with the O-line, doing a better job on our run blocking, our pass protections, making adjustments at the line of scrimmage has been the biggest reason that we are still getting better."
This Sunday, the Rams (5-1) will be hosting Stafford's old team, the Detroit Lions (0-6), as they look to pick up their 6th win of the season and remain one game behind the 6-0 Cardinals.
