INGLEWOOD, CA - Both teams representing the City of Angels, the Los Angeles Chargers hosting the Los Angeles Rams, lost 29-22 in a preseason thriller at SoFi Stadium.

Bryce Perkins got the start for the visiting Los Angeles Rams at quarterback, completed 10 of 17 passes for 133-yards, and two touchdowns to help beat the Los Angeles Chargers 29-22 in the preseason.

Chase Daniel had a good game for the Chargers, completing 11 of 17 passes for 117-yards and two touchdowns, and Easton Stick completed 16 of 23 passes for 119-yards and one interception.

Perkins played the whole game against the Chargers, and I asked him about playing a full preseason game will help him down the line.

"It allowed me to play with a great group of guys that made plays all night long," said Perkins. It allowed me the time to make plays on the field, and helped us to move the football, and when maybe things didn't go right sometimes, being able to make adjustments and to get better and a great win for our team tonight."

The Rams kicked off in the first quarter, and Chase Daniel got the start at quarterback for the Chargers.

The Chargers struck first with a 41-yard touchdown pass from Daniel to Joe Reed (WR), and the extra point was good to lead 7-0.

The Rams tied the game 7-7 on third down after A.J.Rose scored on a one-yard touchdown run and the extra point by Cameron Dicker was good with 7:44 before halftime.

The Rams led 14-7 after Perkins threw a 60-yard touchdown pass to Lance McCutcheon with 5:17 left before halftime.

The Chargers would tie the game 14-14 with 37 seconds left in the second quarter after Daniel threw a 16-yard touchdown to Michael Bandy.

In the third quarter, the Rams offense would strike again when Perkins scored on a 1-yard touchdown run, and the two-point conversion catch by McCutcheon was good, now led 22-14.

The Chargers would respond with a score of their own to tie the game 22-22 when their quarterback Easton Stick scored on a three-yard touchdown run with 13:02 left in the game.

Perkins had the Rams' offense on the move looking to take the lead, and he picked up a first down with an eleven-yard pass to #4 Austin Trammell at the Chargers' 13-yard line.

Moments later, Perkins threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to McCutcheon, giving the Rams a 29-22 lead with 6:11 left in the game.

The Rams' defense had the play of the game when a pass from Stick, intended for Bandy, was intercepted by free safety Daniel Isom to help them get their second win of the preseason
