The 49ers eliminate the Raiders from the playoffs in overtime 37-34
LAS VEGAS, NV - The Las Vegas Raiders' chances of getting into the playoffs went up in smoke on Sunday after giving up a ten-point lead and got eliminated after losing to the San Francisco 49ers 37-34 in overtime at Allegiant Stadium.
Jarrett Stidham played instead of Derek Carr and threw for 365 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Davante Adams had another big game with seven catches for 153 yards and two touchdowns, and Josh Jacobs carried the football seventeen times for 69 yards and one touchdown.
Brock Purdy led the 49ers to victory after completing 22 of his 35 passes for 284 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Christain McCaffrey rushed for 121 yards and one touchdown, and Brandon Aiyuk caught nine passes for 101 yards and one touchdown.
The Raiders were up 7-0 in the first quarter after Darren Waller caught a 24-yard touchdown pass from Stidham. The 49ers would take a 14-10 lead in the second quarter when Brock Purdy threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to George Kittle.
Davante Adams would give the Raiders a 17-14 halftime lead with his 4-yard touchdown catch.
The Raiders increased their lead to 24-14 in the third quarter after Stidham threw a 60-yard touchdown to Adams. The 49ers' Christain Mc Caffrey had them trailing by three points, 24-21, with his 2-yard touchdown run.
During the fourth quarter, Robbie Gould would kick a 43 and a 24-yard field goal to give the 49ers a 27-24 lead. Daniel Carlson would tie the game 27-27 after kicking a 57-yard field goal.
The Raiders trailed 34-27 when the 49ers' Jordan Mason scored on a 14-yard touchdown run. Josh Jacobs tied the game 34-34 with a 1-yard touchdown run to send the game to overtime.
Gould would kick a 23-yard field goal for the overtime win to improve their record to (12-4) and the Raiders fell to (6-10), and knock out of the playoffs.
The Raiders will end the season hosting the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday at Allegiant Stadium.
