INGLEWOOD, CA - Cam Akers rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns, and Baker Mayfield threw for 230 yards and two touchdowns to help the Los Angeles Rams (5-10) beat the Denver Broncos (4-11) at SoFi Stadium 51-14.

Mayfield has done a great job of learning the plays and taking charge of making sure the players are where they are supposed to be on offense. The Rams' head coach Sean McVay talked about the performance of Mayfield since he joined the team, and if he has lived up to their expectation, or exceeded them.

"I think probably better, but I always…you guys know, I was always a fan of him and I think he's played really well. You got to think about too, what he's done to come in here and be able to play around a lot of guys too that haven't been here, and to be able to lead the charge today, just an incredible effort. The quarterback position, there's just so many things that are involved with that and it's not exclusive to just when he is dropping back and throwing the football, getting us in and out of the right looks in the run game. That's a tough defense as we know and he got us in and out of the right plays. I thought the operation was clean all day. He's been outstanding. Again, I think a ton of credit goes to him, but also (Quarterbacks Coach) Zac Robinson and (Offensive Coordinator) Liam Coen being able to work hand in hand with him."

The Rams' secondary had a big day, with Cobie Durant (RCB) having two interceptions, Bobby Wagner (ILB) one interception, and Jalen Ramsey (RCB) with one interception.

The Rams led the Broncos 17-3 in the first quarter after Matt Gay kicked a 55-yard field goal, Baker Mayfield's 9-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Higbee, and Cam Akers' 2-yard touchdown run. The Broncos' Brandon McManus would kick a 54-yard field goal to end the quarter.

Denver trailed at halftime 31-6 after Higbee caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from Mayfield, and Akers scored again on a 2-yard touchdown run, followed by McManus kicking a 49-yard field goal for the Broncos.

Gay's 34-yard field goal gave the Rams a 34-6 lead at the end of the third quarter.
