The Clippers Advance to the Quarterfinals after beating Mavs 126-111

LOS ANGELES, CA - Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers were back at the Staple Center to play Game 7 after tying the series 3-3 of the first round of the Western Conference beat the Dallas Mavericks 126-111 to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals.

The Clippers finally had a complete team effort at the Staple Center to win Game 7 with Kawhi Leonard 28-points, Marcus Morris Sr. 23-points 7 of 9 from three-point range, Paul George 22-points, Reggie Jackson 15-points, Terance Mann 13-points, and Luke Kennard and Nicolas Batum both with 11-points.

"It's all about the moment," Leonard said. "You got to be aggressive all night and don't try to make the game perfect."

Luka Doncic had 46-points to lead the Mavs in scoring, Dorian Finney-Smith 18-points, Kristaps Porzingis 16-points, Boban Marjanovic 14-points, and Tim Hardaway Jr.11-points.

Tyronn Lue and his coaching staff did a great job of coaching and making changes to the starting lineup and rotation in the series as the Clippers became the fifth team in NBA history to lose the first two games at home and come back to win a playoff series.

"It was a great win for us," said Tyronn Lue, who improved to 4-0 in Game 7s of his coaching career. "It showed a lot about our team."

Kawhi Leonard's jump shot gave the Clippers an 8-7 lead in the first quarter. Nicolas Batum driving dunk had the Clippers leading 16-13, forcing the Mavs to call a timeout.

The Clippers led 21-18 after Terance Mann's three-point shot. Luka Doncic continues to torch the Clippers, made a three-point giving the Mavs a 26-23 lead.

The Clippers responded with a three-pointer by Mann and a dunk by Leonard regained the lead 31-26, and the Mavs called another timeout. Doncic made a bank shot to put the Mavs up 36-33 with 1:08 left in the quarter.

The Mavs led the Clippers 38-35 at the end of the quarter. Doncic led all players in scoring with 19-points on 6 of 8 shots made, 3 of 4 from the three-point line., followed by the Clippers' Leonard with 13-points.

Luke Kennard's three-pointer gave the Clippers a 40-38 lead in the second quarter. Morris Sr. made his second three-pointer of the game that made the score 43-40.

Morris Sr. gave the Clippers a 46-40 lead after making another three-pointer with 8:09 left in the first half. Paul George's three-pointer increased the Clippers' lead to 51-44.

Batum went to the basket for a dunk and was fouled by Boban Marjonivic, who made both of his free throws that made the score 60-54. Reggie Jackson made a deep three-point shot, and the Clippers now led by eight points, 70-62 to end the first half.

George, Leonard, and Mann all had 13-points to lead the Clippers in scoring, and Batum and Morris Sr. both with 9-points. Doncic led the Mavs in scoring with 29-points.

The Mavs trail the Clippers by two points, 72-70, with a basket by Boban Marjanovic and three-point shots by Dorian Finney-Smith and Tim Hardaway Jr. in the third quarter.

Marjanovic tied the game 76-76 with a jump shot inside the key. The Mavs would regain the lead 79-76 when Finney-Smith made a three-point shot. George tied the game 81-81 with a pair of free throws.

Leonard drove down the left side of the baseline and went up with a monster two-hand dunk to give the Clippers an 83-81 lead. Morris Sr. continue his hot shooting making a three-point shot that made the score 86-81.

The Clippers led by five points, 88-83, after two free throws by Leonard. Morris Sr. made another three-pointer that increased the Clippers' lead to 91-83. The Mavs found themselves down by eleven points 94-83 after Leonard was fouled on a put-back shot and was foul and made the free throw.

Luke Kennard made a three-pointer that made the score 97-83 with 54.8 left in the quarter. Kennard made another three-pointer shot, and the Clippers led at the end of the quarter 100-85.

Kennard gave the Clippers a 102-85 lead during the fourth quarter. The Clippers led 106-87 after Leonard made two free throws. The Mavs continue to fight back, trailing the Clippers 106-91 after a layup by Marjanovic with 7:57 left in the game, and the Clippers called a timeout.

Leonard and George made back-to-back baskets to give the Clippers a 111-94 lead. Marjanovic made a hook shot in the key, had the Mavs down by eleven points 111-100 with 4:37 left in the game, and the Clippers called another timeout.

Jackson, after the timeout, made a three-pointer that gave the Clippers a 114-100 lead. Doncic made a deep three-point shot that had the Mavs trailing 114-107.

Jackson made another three-pointer that made the score 117-107, and Morris Sr. continue to sizzle made another three-pointer that increased the Clippers' lead to 120-107 with 1:16 left in the game.

The Clippers ended the game beating the Mavs 126-111 to advance to the next round of the NBA Playoffs
