The Georgia Bulldogs are National Champions after beating the TCU Horned Frogs 65-7

INGLEWOOD, CA - The No.1 Georgia Bulldogs (15-0) won their second National Championship, back-to-back, by blowing out No.3 TCU Horned Frogs (13-2) at SoFI Stadium 65-7 with a strong performance by their quarterback Stetson Bennett ( Offensive MVP) passing for 304 yards and four touchdowns, and ran for two touchdowns to help his team go undefeated.

"It's special," Bennett said. "It seems like for the past three or four months we've been looking to see if somebody could beat us, and we just ran out of games. Nobody could."

The Bulldogs Brock Bowers had seven catches for 152 yards and one touchdown, and Brandon Robinson carried the ball seven times for 42 yards and two touchdowns.

On the defensive side of the ball for Georgia, Javon Bullard (Defensive MVP) had two interceptions and one fumble recovery.

You could see how focused and determined the Bulldogs and their head coach Kirby Smart was on repeating as back-to-back National Champions again from the start to the end of the game.

"Last year's team probably had more talent on it," Smart said. "But this year's team was different, like they had this eye of the tiger. They weren't going to lose."

TCU's quarterback Maxx Duggan passed for 152 yards, one rushing touchdown, and two interceptions.

Georgia’s defense got the first turnover of the game to give their offense a good start for their first drive after TCU's running back Derius Davis fumbled, and their defensive back Javon Bullard recovered the ball at their 33-yard lines.

The Bulldogs, with a first down at TCU's 21-yard line, quarterback Stetson Bennett scored on a 21-yard touchdown run to give them a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, capping off a 57-yard drive.

The Horned Frogs trailed the Bulldogs 10-7 after a 2-yard touchdown run by Max Duggan. The Bulldogs led 17-7 when Bennett threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to Ladd McConkey to end the quarter.

Georgia increased their lead to 24-7 in the second quarter with a 6-yard touchdown by Bennett. The Bulldogs got their first turnover when Duggan overthrew the football, and Javon Dullard intercepted his pass.

The Bulldogs led 31-7 with a 1-yard touchdown run by Kendall Milton. Dullard would intercept another pass by Duggan and ran it back to TCU's 22-yard line.

Georgia led at halftime 38-7 when Bennett threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Adonai Mitchell. The Bulldogs had 354 yards of total offense in the first half.

The Bulldogs led 45-7 in the third quarter when their tight-end Brock Bowers had a 22-yard touchdown pass from Bennett. McConkey would score his second touchdown, a 14-yard touchdown catch, to give Georgia a 52-7 lead with 2:17 left in the quarter.

Branson Robinson's 1-yard touchdown gave the Bulldogs a 59-7 lead in the fourth quarter with 9:24. Robinson would score the final touchdown of the game with a 19-yard touchdown run, making the final score 65-7.

The victory by Georgia broke many records in the history of national championships games, most points in a quarter 17, most points in a half 38, most points in a game 65, the largest margin in victory 58, and most touchdowns in a game 9.
