INGLEWOOD, CA - The Los Angeles Rams (1-1) committed two turnovers and fell to the San Francisco 49ers (2-0) at SoFi Stadium 30-23 for the ninth time in the regular season.

Matthew Stafford threw the football 55 times and completed 34 passes for 176 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, but one was not his fault.

Puka Nacua continues to shine for the Rams at wide receiver, had 15 catches for 147 yards, and Tutu Atwell caught the ball seven times for 77 yards. Rams head coach Sean McVay had great praise about the play of Nacua.

"He did a great job. You know, he's tough. He's a physical competitor. I thought that showed up. He continued to battle through the end. I mean, he's the epitome of what we want to be as Rams. I love Puka Nacua, and I was really pleased with him today."

Kyren Williams was a bright spot for the Rams on offense, carrying the football fourteen times for 52 yards and one touchdown while catching the football six times for 48 yards and one touchdown and allowing the football to go through his hands for an interception.

Brock Purday had the 49ers offense in good field position after throwing a pass to Deebo Samuels at the Rams 14-yard line. Moments later, the 49ers took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter with a 14-yard touchdown run by Christian McCaffrey.

The Rams were 7-3 after Brett Maher kicked a 43-yard field goal. McCaffrey broke free for 51 yards and ran down to the Rams 13-yard line. Jake Moody gave the 49ers a 10-3 lead after kicking a 27-yard field goal.

Kyren Williams would tie the game 10-10 after catching a 6-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford with 9:49 left before halftime. TuTu Atwell caught an 18-yard pass to give the Rams a first down at the 49ers' 36-yard line.

In the second quarter, the Rams took the lead 17-10 with 1:45 left in the second quarter after going 81 yards on 13 plays, capped off with a 4-yard touchdown run by Williams.

Williams was playing well for the Rams until a pass intended for him hit hands and bounced up in the air, and the 49ers Isaiah Oliver intercepted the pass at their 24-yard line.

The 49ers would regain the lead 20-17 in the third quarter with a 57-yard field goal by Jake Moody.

Deebo Samuel had the 49ers leading by ten points in the fourth quarter, 27-17, with an 11-yard touchdown run. The Rams cut into the 49ers' lead 27-20 with a 48-yard field goal by Brett Maher.

After the game, Stafford talked about the way Nacua was open during the game.

"I mean, as far as getting open, he's winning his matchup. If he gets a man matchup, he's winning and doing a great job of separating and catching the ball, making plays after he catches it. If we're in the zone, I'm just clicking through progressions, and he was on the front side of a few of them today and did a nice job making some catches.

Purdy did not throw a touchdown for the first time in his career in seven starts and completed seventeen of his passes for 206 yards, and McCaffery carried the ball twenty times for 116 yards and one touchdown.

Deebo had 38 yards on five carries and one touchdown and caught the football six times for 63 yards.
