The Bills' defense spoiled the Rams' Season Home Opener 31-10
INGLEWOOD, CA - The Super Bowl defending champs the Los Angeles Rams lost their season home-opener to the Buffalo Bills 31-10 at SoFi Stadium last night on Thursday Night Football.
The Game was supposed to feature two teams that some picked to go to the Super Bowl in 2023, the Bills showed up, but the Rams did not.
It was the first time the Rams lost a home opener under head coach Sean McVay, and former Ram Von Miller and their defense held the Rams to 52-yards rushing and kept the pressure on Matthew Stafford during the whole game.
Stafford threw three interceptions, completed 29 of his 47 passes for 240-yards, one touchdown, and was sacked seven times by the Bills' defense.
Josh Allen, the starting quarterback for Buffalo, had a great night throwing the football, completing 26 of his 31 passes for 297-yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.
The Bills got the football first and scored when Josh Allen, on third-and-one, threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Gabe Davis to take a 7-0 lead.

Aaron Donald would get the 99th sack of his career after blowing by the Bills' Ryan Bates (RG) and tackling Allen for a loss.
The Rams' defense got their first turnover in the first quarter when Terell Lewis (OLB) intercepted a pass thrown by Allen intended for Isaiah McKenzie on their second drive.
Stafford, in the second quarter, threw his first interception with a pass intended for Tyler Higbee was picked off by the Bills' cornerback Dane Jackson at their thirty-yard-line.
Tyler Bass gave the Bills a 10-0 lead in the second quarter after he kicked a 41-yard field goal. The Rams' running game wasn't going well, despite Darrell Henderson breaking free and running for 18-yards to help get them in scoring position.
The Rams would trail 10-7 when Matthew Stafford threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Cooper Kupp, who did a fantastic job of getting both feet down in the back of the endzone, and the extra point by Matt Gay was good.
The Rams' defense got their second turnover in the second quarter when Leonard Floyd (OLB) forced a fumble by the Bills' rookie running back Ernest Jones to fumble on his first NFL carry, and Floyd recovered the ball on the Bills' thirty-six-yard line, his sixth of his career.
Buffalo's third turnover can when Allen threw a pass just a little behind Jamison Crowder, and Troy Hill jumped in front of him and intercepted the football at the Bills' forty-five-yard line. Moments later, Matt Gay would kick a 57-yard field goal to tie the game at halftime, 10-10.
The Rams trailed the Bills 17-10 in the third quarter after Allen threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to McKenzie.
Allen drove the Bills' offense down to the Rams' 4-yard line and capped off the drive by running in the endzone for a 4-yard touchdown making the score 24-10.
In the fourth quarter, Stafford, with first-and-ten on their 43-yard line threw a pass intended for Kupp, and was intercepted by the Bills' Jordan Poyer (S) and returned it to the Bills' forty-one-yard line.
The Bills would score their final touchdown of the game and lead 31-10 when Allen threw a 53-yard touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs. Stafford, with 7:06 left in the game, threw his third interception, throwing a pass to Higbee was intercepted by the Bills' Boogie Basham (DE).
